Kick Off

Manchester United versus Tottenham Hotspur. Cristiano Ronaldo versus Harry Kane. This one could live up to the hype. You’d hope so, particularly, as both sides push for Europe. They’re all ready at Old Trafford – and here we go!

Ralf Rangnick has confirmed that Bruno Fernandes has missed Manchester United ‘s game against Tottenham Hotspur through illness.

The Red Devils will be without their star midfielder for the crunch Premier League clash, having had their preparations thrown into disarray amid fears of a Covid-19 outbreak.

“Bruno is ill, unfortunately,” Rangnick told MUTV. “He couldn’t train yesterday and is therefore not available for the game. Hopefully, he will be back for Tuesday but, today, he is out.”

Manchester United host Tottenham this evening in what is a huge match in the race for a Premier League top-four spot.

Spurs are looking for some much-needed consistency under Antonio Conte, arriving at Old Trafford off the back of a comprehensive victory over Everton.

It’s a big week too for United, who have to find a response to their tame defeat to Manchester City.

Ralf Rangnick’s side face Atletico Madrid midweek in the second leg of the Champions League last-16 tie – it could prove to be a few days that define their season.
