FT – Bayern Munich 7-1 Salzburg

There were some serious questions being asked of this Bayern team in recent weeks, but they’ve done a remarkable job of answering them tonight. Salzburg are no slouches, but they couldn’t get near Bayern.

Lewandoski Hattrick Record!

The Poland star needed just 12 minutes to get his name on the scoresheet, converting a penalty to put his side up 1-0 on the night and 2-1 on aggregate.

And nine minutes later he was on target again from the spot, before completing his hat-trick within a mere 120 seconds of returning to the centre-circle.

In total Lewandowski needed just 23 minutes from kick-off to reach three, making Champions League history.

This is the time for Inter to bring out all the tricks they have in their hat. It is not too late for Salzburg to equalise as well.

Kick Off

We are underway in Munich and Liverpool! Which teams would be going to the Quarter-finals?

Liverpool vs Inter Milan

Liverpool will be looking to finish the job tonight in a comfortable fashion when they host Inter Milan in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie at Anfield.

The Italians were impressed for much of the first leg, but late goals from Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool a 2-0 win and put them in complete control. They will be extremely confident of booking their place in the quarter-finals.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have won their last 12 matches in all competitions, and since winning at the San Siro have lifted the Carabao Cup as their ambitious hopes of a quadruple this season remain alive.

Bayern Munich vs Red Bull Salzburg

Bayern Munich entertain Salzburg in the second leg of their Champions League  last-16 tie later today.

The opening clash finished 1-1 in Austria , with Salzburg leading for much of the match before Kingsley Coman struck a 90th-minute equaliser to give Bayern the edge going into the deciding fixture at the Allianz Arena
