Paris Saint Germain striker Kylian Mbappe could miss his team’s UEFA Champions League second leg fixture against Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid, after picking up a knock in training today.
His side go to the Spanish capital for the second leg of their last 16 tie after the former Monaco man scored a last-minute winner to decide the first leg.
But both RMC Sport and Le Parisien now report that Mbappé is in danger of missing the crucial second leg after sustaining an injury in training on Monday.
During the morning session, the forward received a heavy blow which immediately worried the club’s medical staff and he is set to undergo further tests to determine how serious the issue is.
In his seven UEFA Champions League appearances this season, Mbappé has scored five goals and assisted four thus far.
PSG hold a slim 1-0 advantage heading into the second leg at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday and will need to overcome Los Blancos if they are to continue their quest of winning this season’s UEFA Champions League crown.
