Ruben Dias to be SIDELINED between four to six weeks due to INJURY

Manchester City defender Ruben Dias is set to be out of action for as much as six weeks, due to a muscular injury.

The 24 year-old Portuguese had featured in the FA Cup tie against Peterborough United at the Weston Homes Stadium in midweek but was hauled off at half-time due to medical reasons, and City boss Pep Guardiola in his Friday press conference has revealed ahead of Sunday afternoon’s derby with Manchester United that Dias is set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines.

Dias’ hamstring injury is a huge blow for manager Pep Guardiola’s plans and it means he will be unavailable as Manchester City continue their title challenge on three fronts.

The Portuguese international is out of a series of upcoming crucial fixtures, starting with the famous Manchester Derby against neighbours and rivals Manchester United, plus the UEFA Champions League second leg tie with Portuguese outfit Sporting CP.
