Busy deadline day for Tottenham Hotspurs as Bentancur & Kulusevski seal moves to North London; Dele Alli & Ndombele head out to Everton and Olympique Lyon

It has been a busy couple of hours for North London outfit Tottenham Hotspurs as they attempt to get deals over the line on transfer Deadline Day.

The Lilywhites have confirmed the signing of Uruguayan international Rodrigo Bentancur on a permanent deal from Italian Serie A giants Juventus.

The deal is reportedly worth around 15.9 million pounds (€19 million Euros) and the Italian giants will receive the sum of €6 million Euros in add-ons, while Bentancur’s former club in Argentina Boca Juniors will receive 30% of this deal as a result of a sell-on clause.

Also, Spurs have confirmed the capture of Swedish star Dejan Kulusevski on an 18-month loan deal from Juventus for the rest of the season, subject to an international clearance and a work permit. Tottenham also have the option to purchase Kulusevski at the end of the loan period from Juventus for £8.3 million pounds.

The financial details of the deal will see Spurs fork out an initial €10 million Euros fee for the one-and-a-half-year loan, with an obligation to buy for €35 million Euros provided certain conditions are fulfilled. The potential €35 million Euros clause would be paid in five instalments.

As for outgoings, French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has sealed a loan move to former club Olympique Lyonnais.

As per the agreement, the French Ligue 1 side will cover part of Ndombele’s wages while there is an option to buy the midfielder for the sum of €65 million Euros during the summer.

Still on transfer Deadline Day deals involving Tottenham Hotspurs, Everton are set to complete a move for England midfielder Dele Alli.

Newly-appointed Everton gaffer Frank Lampard made the 25 year-old a priority and believes he can rebuild a career that has stalled in recent years, having made only six appearances under Spurs boss Antonio Conte. It is believed the fee for a deal regarding Dele Alli and Everton could rise up to £40 million pounds – with the first £10 million payable after 20 appearances and he will sign a two-and-a-half-year deal at Goodison Park.

Quite a ton of players heading down the exit door at Tottenham Hotspurs as Argentine international Giovanni Lo Celso has sealed a move to Spanish La Liga outfit Villarreal.

Meanwhile, Dutch attacker Steven Bergwijn looks destined to remain at North London, after talks with Eredivisie side Ajax Amsterdam over a move fell through.

Spanish rising star Bryan Gil who only just moved to Spurs last summer from Sevilla, has been farmed out to La Liga side Valencia on loan until the end of the current campaign.
