FT: Burkina Faso 1-0 Tunisia, Ouattara’s first half effort send the Carthage Eagles home

The Stallions of Burkina Faso have throttled into the final four of the African Cup of Nations. First half goal by Dando Ouattara was enough to secure a spot in the semifinals.

Burkina Faso took on fellow AFCON 2022 outsiders Tunisia at the quarter-final stage of the competition with both sides targeting a coveted spot in the last four.

Tunisia overcame Nigeria in their last-16 clash while Burkina Faso beat Gabon in an enthralling penalty shootout.

Dango Ouattara scored for Burkina Faso, and was later sent off, as he sent his side through to the semi-finals. They will face either Senegal or Equatorial Guinea in the last four.
